Job Description
Purpose
Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for the entire lifecycle of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines and Infrastructure as Code approaches. The role defines automated configuration management, release management, build, test and deployment activities, and provides prototypes and concepts for further automation of assigned technology.

Being part of our team, you will impact our 30 million customers who will use our product to request fiber network installations and to track our progress.
Our product is a set of applications and websites supporting end-to-end processes covering fiber pre-ordering, ordering, installation, service management, and customer support.
Your role as IAM DevOps engineer
You will develop and operate Keycloak/RHSSO-based IAM capabilities on Kubernetes, enabling secure SSO and machine-to-machine access for internal products. You will support team development by standardizing deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting practices, continuously improving reliability, security, and automation around the IAM platform.
Your profile
- At least 3 years of work experience as a DevOps/Platform Engineer (or SRE) with hands-on Kubernetes operations in production environments.
- Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect concepts for modern IAM integrations and SSO flows.
- Practical experience with GitOps delivery using Argo CD for Kubernetes.
- Experience working with containers (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab) from commit to production.
- Comfortable scripting in Python and Bash for automation and troubleshooting tasks.
IAM, Keycloak & Troubleshooting
- IAM fundamentals: authentication vs authorization, identity lifecycle and provisioning flows, role/permission model design, user types, and machine-to-machine concepts.
- Keycloak/RHSSO: hands-on experience with realms, clients, roles, scopes, identity providers, and themes, including troubleshooting authentication and authorization flows end-to-end.
- Configuration-as-code mindset for Keycloak: managing realms, clients, and roles via versioned configuration and promoting changes across environments.
- Operability: diagnose and resolve platform issues (CPU/memory pressure, pod health, configuration errors), contribute to incident response, and support upgrades and migrations.
Cloud, DevOps & Containerization
- Kubernetes & networking: experience with deployments, services, ingress, environment-specific configuration, and secure handling of secrets/config maps.
- Packaging & delivery: Helm charts and Argo CD application management, including Helm-based deployments through Argo CD for GitOps workflows.
- Experience in CI/CD using GitLab, including building, testing, and deploying containerized workloads.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach for managing environments and application infrastructure.
- Observability: experience with Grafana/Prometheus, ELK stack, and basic Dynatrace usage for monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting.
Database & Persisitence Layer
- Experience with PostgreSQL in operational contexts (backups and restore, performance indicators, connection troubleshooting).
- General understanding of how Keycloak and IAM components rely on Postgres and common failure modes.
Security & Performance
- Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT-based authentication for Keycloak integrations.
- Understanding of TLS/certificates and secure exposure of IAM endpoints.
- Experience using monitoring and load-testing tools (e.g. Prometheus/Grafana, JMeter) to observe performance, capacity, and stability.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Design, develop, test, and implement infrastructure for CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
- Manage source code, configuration management, release management, build, and deployment activities.
- Set up and manage integration with partner applications.
- Conduct performance analyses, tuning, error analyses, and troubleshooting.
- Consult and implement innovative technologies to satisfy the innovation strategy.
- Create concepts for further automation of services, processes, and/or operating models.
- Directly support project teams in development, quality assurance, and planning and implementing product releases.
- Continuously optimize the development and system infrastructure.
- Provide consulting to project teams on areas of expertise and prototype proof-of-concept solutions.
- Research and develop in assigned technology, determine business requirements, propose changes, and prepare implementation plans.
Qualifications

- Have secondary education in Information Technologies – Master
- Have 4 years of experience with ICT systems
- Have expert-level experience with scripting (Bash, Python)
- Have expert-level experience with Linux operating systems
- Have intermediate experience with OTC/AWS/Azure
- Have expert-level experience with Docker
- Have advanced experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Have expert-level experience with Git
- Have advanced experience with Jenkins/GitLab
- Have intermediate experience with Maven/Gradle
- Have advanced experience with Ansible/Terraform/Puppet
- Have advanced experience with ELK/Prometheus/Icinga/Jaeger/Grafana
- Have expert-level experience with networking
- Have advanced experience with security
- Are communicative, a team player, and possess analytical thinking, training skills, and presentation skills
- Speak English – Upper intermediate (B2)
- Have experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum, and SAFe

Salary
Final salary is negotiable. We are offering a base salary depending on seniority and previous experience. In addition to the base salary, we provide a variable part and other financial benefits. The base salary will not be lower than 2600€ /brutto.
